What is myopia?
Myopia is also known as being short-sightedness. This is where you can see objects up close, however distant objects appear out of focus.
What causes myopia?
Myopia occurs when the light rays coming through the eyes focus in front of the eye. This can be caused by:

The cornea being too curved

The length of the eye being too big
Can myopia be corrected?
The good thing about myopia is that it can often be easily corrected by some form of vision correction such as glasses, contact lenses or laser eye surgery.
